A lion and lioness stand facing each other in the middle of the impressive portico of the Palazzo Spada in Rome. Their gazes meet in silent agreement: powerful and full of pride. The harmony of architecture and emotion reveals a quiet truth: beauty and love are the driving forces – then as now.
Their love is the foundation on which everything rests – just like the architecture of Rome on its pillars.
In Rome, where every stone holds memories and every shadow speaks of centuries, love does not fade – it remains.
They say that when two souls truly meet, time forgets to move. The clocks stop, the streets fall silent and even the Eternal City holds its breath.
Under the ancient arches of Rome, where gods once walked and emperors dreamed, a gaze shared between two lovers becomes more permanent than marble. Their bond is not part of time – it is part of eternity.
Rome, the city that has survived everything – destruction, rebirth, glory, silence – knows this truth very well:
That love, when it is genuine, does not belong to the moment.
It belongs to eternity.

Monira’s inspiration:
Rome – city of the gods and eternity
“I have been to this beautiful city several times and I am inspired by the old Roman buildings and the flair they exude. The artist Piranesi, who sketched Roman buildings, also inspired me with the portico.
Rome is more than just a city – it is a living memory of humanity, a place where stone becomes language and history breathes. No other city bears the title: the Eternal, as naturally as Rome. For it is here that time, myth and people merge into a single, powerful narrative.
Walking through Rome makes you small and big at the same time. Small in the face of the millennia. Big through the realization of being part of something bigger. Perhaps it is precisely this tension – between man and myth, between now and always – that makes Rome a place where love finds its deepest expression.
My intention is for the viewer to absorb the energy, love and peace that I want to convey and transfer it to their own lives. My paintings are a reminder that true happiness is often found in closeness to others and in harmony with nature. They invite you to pause in the midst of everyday life and recognise the beauty and meaning of love, connection and harmony.
I also want my work to foster an appreciation for the wonders of nature and inspire people to pursue their own visions and goals with the same calm and confidence that the animals in my paintings radiate. Ultimately, the paintings are meant to bring joy and contentment and reinforce the belief in one’s own inner strength and magic – an invitation to positively shape one’s own life and the world.
The animals I paint are unique and impressive creatures that we should protect so that future generations can also experience their splendor. With my paintings I would like to make a contribution to creating awareness and promoting the protection of these special animals. Let’s stand up together for the preservation of their habitats!
I donate part of my earnings to animal reserves and other charitable organizations to promote the preservation of our planet.”
My name is Amelie Monira Egenolf and I am a freelance artist from Lake Constance. My painting style has many influences from my numerous stays abroad in South America and Asia. Spirituality, love, family and nature are the main themes in my paintings, with the intention of conjuring up light, magic, beauty and new energy in the lives of art lovers. I mainly paint with acrylic and oil paint and mixed techniques on canvas.
The ‘Lions’ collection by Monira Art embodies deep spiritual and emotional values that go beyond the mere depiction of majestic animals. ‘In my paintings, the lion not only symbolises strength and courage, but also stands for inner peace, confidence and harmony with nature. By painting lions, I want to bring the viewer closer to the powerful energy of this animal – the energy that guides us to shape our lives with courage and determination while maintaining inner peace and serenity.
For me, the lion as a power animal symbolises keen intuition and the ability to see life from a higher perspective. It reminds us that it is important to remain calm and clear in the midst of challenges in order to seize opportunities with courage and clarity. I want to convey these qualities through my art. Each of my paintings invites you to pause and feel the moment of stillness and strength that the lion embodies.
My art should not only offer an aesthetic experience, but also convey deeper messages. It reminds us that true happiness lies in connecting with nature and other people, and that we can pursue our own visions and goals with the same inner strength that the lion symbolises.’
